Miscarriage: A lesson

Miscarriage

Not many know of this story, but before i was pregnant with my second born, i had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. I was going through an emotional distress over all the things that was happening around me and i didn't handle it pretty well to which had caused the miscarriage. There was already signs during the 10th week when i had PV bleeding. Went to the emergency room for a total of 4 times before Baby Abdullah finally came out by himself at 7.10AM on Friday.

It's a sensitive topic to talk about, but miscarriage does happen to women regardless the cause. It was a sign for me to stop taking Dunya seriously as it is only momentarily. I was given a weeks rest to recover. I was physically drained as i lost a lot of blood, but emotionally i was in a state that i couldn't explain. I felt sad that i lost my baby, but at the same time i couldn't shed a single tear as what happened had already happened and i can't turn back time to not make it happen. That's life i guess.

I had to be strong and say i was okay. I had to influence myself and say it was not my fault. I didn't know how to explain to people if they asked how was my pregnancy. But, with being strong i managed to pull myself together and go back to work the following week. I had to keep myself distracted so that i can be happy of what i have now and not indulge in what i have lost. I turned the miscarriage into a lesson where i should enjoy my life and take care of myself rather than worrying about what others will think about me.

Now i know what it felt like to have a miscarriage, and imagine to those who had a miscarriage later in their pregnancy where they could see the baby already. Imagine the emotional stress they had to go through to bury their baby. My condolences to all those mothers who lost their babies, i couldn't imagine what it's like.

But, as i quote "after every thunderstorm, there is a rainbow - Shannon L. Alder".

Two months after the miscarriage i was welcomed with amazing news that i was pregnant again Alhamdulillah. this time i'm gonna make sure not to let anything take me down. 9 months on, i welcomed a healthy baby boy at 36 weeks. The healthy baby boy you can read on my previous post. :)

Till then,
xoxo

My second bundle of joy: Sulaiman Tayyip Al-Akiti Bin Muhammad Khairul Adlan

Hi everyone

It's been a whirlwind of a ride since I last posted an entry and so many things has happened since then. Not saying i have a lot of followers who read my blog anyway, but knowing me i just like to write for the joy of it.

So moving on to my main topic, as i have officially announced on my Instagram/Facebook. I was honored on welcoming my second bundle of joy to the world. It was a long (it felt super long) ride, emotionally and physically.

I had 2 mild accidents during the pregnancy. Both times was during the rain and my car skidded. The first time was when i was on the way to a TVC Offline session where my car skidded during a left turn and hit the side rail, i was warded for 2 nights for observation while the second accident happened when i was driving back from a KV Photoshoot on a Saturday. But baby was super strong and managed to make it until the day i gave birth.

This pregnancy was very different compared to my first. It's true what people say that each pregnancy is different. I was blessed to not have any morning sickness. I could practically eat anything, hence whyi gained like XXKG (nope not gonna tell you)lol. Not only that, but this pregnancy, i was a working and a Mum of a Toddler. So much respect to my Mum who had to raise me her only child and my other 5 adopted siblings (HAHAHAHAHAHA)!

I was really productive for this pregnancy where i took the MRT to and from work. See picture below how productive i was and how cute my belly was hahaha.

Eidul Adha (Raya)
So as the D-Day was closer (tunggu hari gittu), i kept speaking to my second born to not come out as i want to eat all the Eid food as much as i can. As the day passed, i was like OKAY YOU CAN COME OUT NOW. ANY TIME YOU WANT! ANY TIME NOOWWWWW!

But nooooo, baby still wanted to play in my tummy. So i started to each spicy food and all types of food to fastened the contractions.

But as Mary Poppins says "When you don't want me but need me i must stay, when you need me but no longer want me i shall go". In my case, the baby be like "You want me to come out now? How bout NO!".

Never ending
2 weeks post Eid celebration, baby still not out. Everyday i go to work i tell everyone that "AM STILL PREGNANT GUYS" and at the end of the same day i be like "OKAY GUYS I WANNA GIVE BIRTH TONIGHT PLEASE", but nope that's not gonna happen hahahaha. It'a that end pregnancy feeling that you just want it out of you and get it over with, but later i'll miss being pregnant (HAIYA APA PEREMPUAN MAHU?). What's with humans.

Inactive Labour
One day, er no it was night. I started to have contractions every 10 minutes. So i told my husband it was go time. So got all the bags ready and sent Yusuff to his Nenek's house. Went to Hospital Kajang and checked myself in (kau ingat nak pergi hotel ke?). So had the CGT scan and my contractions was 1/10 meaning 1 contraction every 10 minutes and dialated at 2CM, so was warded from then on.

2 days later, GUYS AM STILL PREGNANT IN THE HOSPITAL BABY DOES NOT WANT TO COME OUT YET. Mum and Along came and visited me at the Hospital and bought me KFC yasssssss. Happy beyond happiness. BUT NOPE BABY STILL IN THERE, STILL 2CM DIALATED.

Third morning since i was warded, i told the Dr to just induce me. Am good. As long as i leave the hospital with a baby in hand doesn't matter the pain (at that time though, boy Widad if you knew about the pain, you wish you didn't ask to be induced). So at 7AM on the 26 June, i was induced via VI (i think that's what its called). But told me i should start to have contraction a few hours after, but nope nothing. I could still sleep in peace. Mum explained how induced labour is a forced labour so the pain will be excruciating. I told Mum, it's gonna be okay it's nothing (then it was nothing, before active labour kicked in)

Active Labour
At 2PM, the contractions started to get harder but was still bearable. Khairul bought me a lot of food and we was just talking like normal. 2.10PM the HO checked and i was still at 2PM and have not progressed since being induced. So they had to insert a balloon. Basically they put a balloon in and put water, in hopes that when there is extra weight it will dialate faster.

You bet it did! It got worse and the HO already informed me that if i start feeling pain, then just let her know then she will check. So at 3PM i informed the HO that i was in pain and just told her to push me to the labour room. So she took out the balloon and told me to eat first before pushing me to the labour room.

5.00PM, i was in a pain that cannot be explained! Khairul was there and he too did not know what to do (come on it's not like i can share my pain with him right? hahaha)/. He just kept reciting the Yassin while i was standing up and bending down and screaming into my pillow as the pain grew stronger and stronger. It was getting to much and i told Khairul to call the Dr cause it hurts like MAD MAD.

5.30PM, The nurse quickly went to get a wheelchair. From my bed to the wheelchair, there was a total of 8-10 steps, and each step i cried. At that point i couldn't careless of people saying that you can't cry during labour. HUMAN PLEASE IT HURTS AND AM GONNA DO WHATEVER I WANT TO DO! Btw, at that time, it was visiting hours in the word, so all the husbands eyes was on me as i was crying to the wheelchair. It's at that point (i hope) they realised the amount of pain a woman has to go through to give birth to a child, and at that time you feel the most useless as the pain can't be shared and all you can do is just give moral support, and believe me you that is also important!

5.45PM, pushed to the labour room and i couldn't utter a word. Got on the labour room bed and they start doing their thang. The Doctor broke my water bag and checked i was at 6CM already. So they went out to prepare the medica; stuff you know haha. The only thing i remember asking was for some DRUGS TO REDUCE THE PAIN. I was literally "DOCTOR GIVE ME DRUGS PLEASE ANYTHING PLEASE". Hahaha looking back, i would still ask for it hahaha. The Doctor said he needs to monitor the baby's heart beat before giving me some medicine so i was like "K".

Baby coming out finallyyyyyy
6.12PM, the contractions got harder and suddenly i had the urge to push. So told Khairul to quickly call the nurse or Doctor. At that time, i was already screaming. Then the nurse came in and asked me why and not to scream like that (hehe sorry i was in pain and was not thinking). So i told the nurse that it feels like the baby is coming out. The next thing you know, the contraction came and without me pushing that much (cause i was only 6cm dilated) the baby came shooting out. Thank goodness the Nurse and midwife was there to deliver the baby. The first thing the Nurse said was "Wow, that was fast. Not even time to get ready at all. Was it this easy delivery the first baby?" to which i replied "yes" and we all laughed it out. The moment the nurse put the baby on me was the best moment of my life and i was beyond happy.

Stitching it up good
6.30PM, okay time to sew you up! Gulp! Okay because the baby came in such a hurry, there was a tear, so the midwife had to stitch it up. At this point they already took the baby to wash and i was with the midwife. Hahaha okay this was the part where i kept apologising to the midwife because i kept picking my but up hahaha. So painful yooo. Then finally she gave me some gas, and i was like finally gassss. But eventhough i was on gas, i still kept picking up my but. STILL SORRY! Hehehe. After that, they let me rest for 20 minutes and i was pushed on a wheelchair to my ward. But waited at the waiting area for the documents at that time i still apologised to the nurse who had to sew me up hahahaha cause i know your trying to do your job and i know am making it harder hahaha.

7.20PM, back to the ward and sweaty and tired and all but it was all worth it. My baby is in the world and healthy and that's what matters most.

My Baby
With this, i would like to officially (again) introduce you to my second bundle of joy: Sulaiman Tayyip Al-Akiti Bin Muhammad Khairul Adlan

6.18PM @ 2.66KG on the 26/6/18

After all of the above, yes i still want more babies haha. Thank you to my husband Khairul who was with me throughout the process. My Mum that has given me endless support and KFCCCCCC as well as my eldest sister Along for giving me advise and KFCCCCCC. My Dad, sister Kakak, Abang Eman, Abang Mamat and Baby Alim as well as my in-laws that has helped me and supported me through out the pregnancy.

Alhamdulillah.

Till my next post,
xoxo

Vice Chancelor Award : MY OWN PINK SASH!

Graduating my Degree in Advertising with a Vice Chancellor Award

It’s been a great journey that i will always remember. Alhamdulillah all the hard work has been paid off.

Semester 3
It was fun when it started, then i got to know i was 6 weeks pregnant. Away from Husband and Mum, i had to survive my early pregnancy at my dorm room with my room mates. Every weekend i would drive back to my Husband at Melaka. Morning sickness all day everyday, and a phase where i didn’t want to eat rice at all. Would go throw-up in the toilet multiple times per day, and sometimes at Faculty. Thank goodness everyone understood the phase i was going through. Until the end of Semester 3, i couldn’t stand staying at my hostel room anymore, crying over the phone with Mum, and she told me to just stay home (Nilai) and just go back and forth from UiTM Shah Alam daily. It made me feel so much better, and with that it boosted my mood to learn and results, Alhamdulillah.

Semester 4
Second and third trimester pregnancy, and it was a bumpy ride. Had the best lecturers in the world. Went back and forth from Nilai to Shah Alam everyday to attend classes. Me eating in the passenger seat while hubby drives to class. Like a BAWSEEE. Hahaha. But during my final moments before giving birth was the hardest.  I had a pitching for my Creative class assignment in the morning, but the night before i had noticed baby wasn’t moving so much. Went to check at the clinic and Dr said baby’s umbilical chord was around baby’s neck. :( So we rushed straight to KPJ Kajang to which i was admitted for 2 days, and missed on my Pitching assignment. But with the wonderful team mates i had, they said it was okay. LOVE YOU GUYS! Alhamdulillah i got discharged after 2 days, and baby was fine. 1 week later i started having Braxton Hicks, but it was all good at that time. Then, on a Wednesday morning, i was getting ready to go to 3rd Language class, i started to feel the nerve of not being able to go to the toilet in time (peeing before i reach the toilet). Then contractions started. Blablabla, then gave birth. Next day discharge and had 2 weeks of maternity leave only, because i had to go back to Uni to catch up on all my assignments, test and final exams. The results, Alhamdulillah.

Semester 5
Classes, tests, assignments, and baby boo. It was tough at first, but once i got used to it, everything was smooth. Woke up at 5 in the morning to send Yusuff to his Nenek’s house in KL, and went to Uni. My daily routine until semester ended. So during the final exam days, had Hubs baby sit Yusuff while i studied (NOT). hahaha I hate studying the most man, probably go through my notes once and start playing around with Yusuff. All in all, the results Alhamdullah.

Semester 6/ Internship at Optimedia MY
Daily routine, leaving Yusuff at his Nenek’s house and will go to work. Internship at Optimedia MY was fun, and i learnt a lot from my office mates. Because of that i managed to get an A+ for it. Woop woop. My first 4 flat in my life. HAHAHAHAHA

With this, i am going to be graduating with Vice Chancellor Award. I would like to thank my Mother Prof Dr Normaliza Abd Rahim, for giving me strength and always giving me good feedback all through my degree journey. Husband Muhammad Khairul Adlan who has always been there to listen to all by grumbles about workload and stuff and also Muhammad Yusuff Al-Akhtar for brightening up my life. My dad Roslan bin osman, my in-laws and my siblings, Along, Abang Eman, Kakak, Abang Mamat and Alim for giving support all through the journey and my nieces and nephews Lana, Sofea, Laya, Mateen and new baby otw.

YBhg Professor Dr Normaliza Abd Rahim

YBhg Professor Dr Normaliza Abd Rahim

Yep, you read that right!

My mother ladies and gentleman,

After many many many many months in applying to get promotion to Professorship (VK7), Alhamdulillah yesterday the best news ever came. Allah SWT has answered my prayers!

You certainly deserved it.

After weeks on getting together all the certificates, tracking back on all the journals, books, publications. All laid out infront of my very own eyes, it made me realise that pleasure in life doesn't come easy. Everything comes with a cost. To be able to work only2 days in a week will take about 40+ years of service. Nothing comes easy man. Not only 40+ years of service, but also a bad shoulder, bad knee muscles and also a lot of white hair on my Mum's head.

Again, nothing comes cheap.

Yet,

My mother did it all for us, for all 6 of us + 5 (1 on the way) grandson/daughter + 3 daughter/son in-law.

After she went to Korea in 2012 to be a visiting Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies

Alone,

In a foreign land, filled with Hot Korea actors,

Alone,

With the hot Korean actors,

Sigh.... (not with me)

Then she came back to Malaysia.

and yet again, she managed to go again back to Korea, by herself, again

To get more money for us

Again...

This time... with Gong Yoo (GOBLIN)

Sigh ....... (Jasper kau di lupakan- jangan terasa hati)

But all that hard work paid off, you finally got your dream!

We are the proudest children, and no one can be as hard working as you are,

Our role model, our hero, our everything

Isn't my Mum adorable,

Heheheh

Love you MUM!

See you soon end of April,

11 DAYS IN KOREA WOOP WOOP!!

Loads of love,
Widad, Khairul and Yusuff

Saturday 6 June 2015

6th December 2014, Widad and Khairul's Soleminization (Akad Nikah)

So as many of you know, that i'm already married.
I'm sorry it's taking me so long to update my blog. I just can't be bothered, hahaha

So the solemnization was held on the 6th of December 2014, on Saturday,
woke up at 4AM to shower and get ready,
but actually i didn't even get to sleep a wink.

So after i got all dressed (in regular clothes),
Me, Mum and Along drove off to Kakak's house,
that's where i was getting ready for the solemization.

So arrived and did my Fajr prayer at Kakak's house,
6.30AM and the makeup lady hasn't arrived yet, to which made i more nervous

In the other hand, kept calling Khairul to make sure he had
remembered today was actually his wedding day, hoped so haha

So the makeup lady finally arrived around 7AM ish, and started to make me up straight away,
Me getting all nervous, like yes sooo nervous

So when she was about ti finish with my make, she told me to wear my Jubbah (Abaya) first,
for the Solemnization, i wore an Jubbah (Abaya) designed and made by Don Khair,

So after that she finished my make up,
and couldn't believe that I would be getting married. It all felt like a movie

So after that, i wore my Selendang (Scarf) and Veil,

and there i was, all ready, to go get married :'( Pffft nervous

So from Kakak's place to the Masjid (Mosque) was around 5 minutes,
wore my beautiful white shoes in the car while sitting next to Mummy,

Nervous to the MAX

So arrived at the Mosque and Khairul's family was already there,
thus the journal shall start from the pictures below as i can't be bothered to type anymore,
hehehe

Pre-solemnization

 Setting up the Dulang's

Someone's getting his make up done, :P

My beautiful bridesmaid, and me Siti Noorliana Aleena

Nervous, couldn't really move.
I'm pretty sure i wanted to pee hahaha

P.S: The bouquet was made by my sister Along

Lana: Auntie Princess (Awwwww)

Khairul's Side

Me and Abang Mamat

Me and Alim

Hantaran
Hantaran is a Malaysia Culture,
or in other words the exchange of gifts from one side to the other
So i gvae Khairul 11, and he gave me 9
Why the odd number? Well it has to be in odd numbers,
and the bride has to give 2 more than the groom

My hantaran to him,
all designed by Along
Helped by Mum, Kakak and Me

His hantaran for me:

The nervousness
Just moments we were declared as Husband and Wife, you could see the nervousness on his face,
and mine, hahaha

Nervous Laugh

The 'Akad'

Daddy, Akad-ing the Nikah, look at both faces

 Yes, paparazzi everywhere

Alhamdulillah, I am a wife to a Muhammad Khairul Adlan

After that was the giving the money for 'Mas Kawin'
Still couldn't believe we're married

The putting the ring in the fat brides fingers, Alhamdulillah it fit, hahah no offence finger

The 'After effect'- 'm a wife now! WOW~

So basically this was during Khairul performing his 'Sujud Syukur',
and i whispered to Liana that i couldn't feel know move my legs,
because i was sitting so long.
She laughed and tried moving my leg which made it worse
We both couldn't stop laughing though
Because i was wondering how i would stand up after this, hahaha

The 'Mas Kawin' money, KA-CHINGGG

I love you Mum, thank you for everything.
Until now and forever :')
and Daddy, my Wali hehehehe

Finally

We're married! <3
